HOW TO SPOT A BAD WEDDING DJ

With the surge of the pandemic and many people turning to back yard weddings I have had a ton of questions regarding pricing and weddings. It doesn't matter if your wedding is in a ballroom in downtown Boston or under a tent in your yard. Every single wedding we do is a Super bowl! We give each wedding the same attention from beginning to end no matter the location or size. We don't offer the basic vs. elite wedding package. We don't offer wireless vs. wired microphones. We don't offer a harddrive filled with 10k vs. 100,000k songs. Whenever you see a wedding DJ offering packages based on equipment and not on experience run and head for the hills!
Be cautious when a wedding DJ offers your 'upsells' such as wireless microphones, larger music collections, etc. When choosing a wedding DJ you want experience, professionalism, knowledge, and of course skills. Does your DJ know how to facilitate a wedding or will they rely on a coordinator to be told what and when? Does your DJ know how to program and beatmix? Finally, does your DJ use professional equipment that looks ascetically pleasing with your wedding? All things to consider when hiring a wedding DJ.
